What Bulk Engraved Tumblers Actually Cost

Nearly every engraving shop answers this question with "it depends" and a contact form. Here are actual numbers, taken from five years of our own invoices.
Short version: a logo-engraved 20 oz insulated tumbler runs about $17–$20 a piece at 25 units and up. Everything below is the detail behind that.

Those aren't list prices we hope to get. They're what real orders were billed at.
The four things that move the number
1. Which cup you pick
This is the biggest factor by far, and it has almost nothing to do with engraving. A house-brand 20 oz tumbler and a YETI Rambler take about the same amount of laser time — the price gap between $17 and $38 is the cup itself.
Worth being honest about: for most corporate gifting, the house-brand tumbler is the better buy. It's a genuinely good insulated cup and it leaves budget for more of them. Pick YETI or Stanley when the recipient list is short and the brand name is part of the message — executive gifts, top-performer awards, client thank-yous where the cup is the whole gift.
2. How many
Volume pricing starts around 25 pieces. Below that, setup is a bigger share of each unit. Above it, per-piece cost flattens out fast — the difference between 100 and 300 units is smaller than most people expect, because the expensive part (getting your artwork production-ready and dialing in the settings for that surface) happens exactly once.
That's also why the second order is usually the better deal: the setup work is already done and saved.
3. One side or two
A second side means a second setup and a second pass on every piece. On orders where we engrave both sides — a company logo on one, an individual name on the other — expect roughly $5–$10 more per piece than a single side. Individual names themselves don't cost extra; the second surface does.
4. Whether you supply the product
If you already have cups, we'll engrave them for $9–$20 a piece depending on quantity and how much engraving is involved. At high volume that drops toward the bottom of the range — one 300-piece run came in at $9 a piece.
This is often the right call if you've standardized on a specific cup, or if you got a good deal on product somewhere. It's usually not cheaper than having us supply the cup at our volume pricing, so run both numbers.
What isn't an extra charge
- Individual names. Different text on every piece costs nothing extra on the same surface.
- Proofs. You see exactly what you're getting before anything is engraved.
- Getting your logo production-ready. Most logos need some cleanup for engraving. That's part of the job.
- Keeping your file for next time. Reorders reference the saved spec — you don't pay setup twice.
A real example
A roofing company here in Texas ordered engraved 20 oz navy tumblers from us four separate times between July 2022 and March 2024 — 60 pieces, then 120, then 144, then 144 again alongside 144 in white.
Every one of those orders was $17 a piece. Same cup, same logo placement, same engraving depth, twenty months apart. Across five total orders they bought 828 pieces for $14,292.
That's the number worth planning around if you're budgeting a recurring program: it doesn't drift, because the setup is already done and the specs are saved.

- How many — a range is fine at this stage.
- What you want engraved — logo, names, dates, or all three.
- When you need them in hand — the date they need to arrive, not the date you'd like them to ship.
