This Privacy Policy describes how Hand Lane Designs (handlanedesigns.com, the "Site," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit, contact us, or make a purchase from the Site, or when you message us on Facebook or Instagram.

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. Device information - Examples collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what pages or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site. - Purpose: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site. - Source: collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, and pixels. - Shared with:our platform provider Shopify.

Order information - Examples collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers and other payment methods enabled at checkout, such as PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay), email address, and phone number. - Purpose: to provide products and services to you, fulfill our contract, process payments, arrange shipping, provide invoices and order confirmations, communicate with you, screen orders for potential risk or fraud, and — when in line with your preferences — send you information or advertising about our products and services. - Source: collected from you. - Shared with: Shopify (our store platform and payment processor), Etsy (when you order through our Etsy shop), and shipping/fulfillment providers used to deliver your order.

Customer support information - Examples collected: your name, email address, phone number, order number, and any information you choose to provide when you contact us — including messages you send us through Facebook Messenger or Instagram. - Purpose: to provide customer support and respond to your inquiries. - Source: collected from you. - Shared with: Shopify and Meta (Facebook/Instagram), through which some support messages are received.

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. If you are the parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at the address below to request deletion.

Sharing Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

Behavioural Advertising

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), which may use cookies and similar technologies to show you relevant ads.

We use your Personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfilling your order, providing customer support, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.

We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you, such as temporarily denylisting IP addresses or credit cards associated with repeated failed transactions.

Selling Personal Information

We do not sell your Personal Information.

Text Messages (SMS)

If you check the box to get text updates, Hand Lane Designs will text the mobile number you give us about your order: order confirmations, proofs ready for approval, shipping and tracking updates, and replies to questions you send us. We send up to 6 messages per order. Msg & data rates may apply.

We use your phone number only to send these messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except the text-messaging provider that delivers our messages for us.

You can stop at any time by replying STOP. You'll get one message confirming you're unsubscribed, and no more after that. Reply HELP for help, or email handlanedesigns@gmail.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. You also have the right to request that we delete your data. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the contact information below.

Data deletion requests: To request that we delete the Personal Information we hold about you — including data associated with your Facebook or Instagram messages — email us at handlanedesigns@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm and process your request within 30 days.

If you are a resident of the EEA, your Personal Information will be initially processed in Ireland and then transferred outside of Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States.
